The Safire SF-IPT838UWHA-4U-AI2 has a maximum Full HD resolution of 2688x1520 pixels. The camera has a built-in automatic IR cut filter and is a true day/night camera. The camera can enable its built-in IR illumination for clear images in darker conditions. Even in total darkness (0 lux) the camera generates a razor sharp image. The Matrix LED IR have a range of up to 30 meters. The camera features Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) which gives the camera with the ability to handle complex lighting conditions, due to for example backlight from the sun or car headlights, very well.
Video images can be recorded using a Network Video Recorder (NVR). The camera also features the ability to record on the camera on a microSD memory card of up to 256Gb (not included). The ANR technology of the camera replenishes missing images from the microSD card to a NVR in case the connection to a NVR was temporarily lost.
Safire offers a free mobile app available for Apple iOS and Android. The camera has an internal web server that can be viewed and managed with a web browser. The latest free Video Management Software (VMS) Safire Control Center for a PC can be downloaded from the Safire website.
The Safire SF-IPT838UWHA-4U-AI2 has an IP66 rating making the camera ideal for outdoor use. For ease of installation the camera can be powered via the network cable with Power over Ethernet (802.3af POE). PoE can be supplied by the PoE NVR, a switch with PoE or using a PoE injector. The camera can also be powered with an optional 12V power adapter.
